This guided bike tour takes you to this wonderful part of Sicily, cycling through the Alcantara Valley and the incredible hilltop town of Castiglione di Sicilia, a medieval village perched on a hill overlooking the Alcantara Valley and Mount Etna. The tour includes a visit to Lauria Castle (of Norman-Swabian origin dating back to the 12th century and built on the highest cliff of the medieval village) and before leaving the enchanting village, the 7th century Byzantine Cuba of Santa Domenica. near the Alcantara river. At the end, driving along one of Sicily’s wine roads and crossing wide expanses of vineyards (Etna D.O.C.), we will reach a winery, an ideai piace to enjoy relaxing moments surrounded by nature while tasting local cuisine and excellent wines.
